Folded in 2022 from a rectangle of cotton cloth

Integrating two hands into a single folded model was the puzzle I set out to solve with this piece, but the actual difficulty turned out to be the integration of the details and the large surface into a balanced whole.
The only way I found to keep everything together was to proceed in a way which is unusual in my folding experience, namely to begin folding the details (the hands) and to move outwards towards the larger structures of the legs and the cloth.
This model was awarded the 2022 Joisel Award in the technical category (second place).
