I struggled with this piece for a long time, probably getting a little too cerebral about it as I started. Seeing an exhibition by Belgian artist Lucie Sentjens and getting to meet such an accomplished artist gave me -appropriately- the second wind I needed. “I have no idea about what I will do, I just find out as I do it” is exactly what I needed to hear that day.
This model was awarded the 2024 Joisel Award in the artistic category (first place from both the jury and the popular vote).
